About
With a passport full of stamps and a mind brimming with inspiration, Che Kumar (aka Cheism) is an illustrator who transforms global adventures into captivating visual narratives. My expansive travels across more than 60 countries haven't just filled sketchbooks—they've profoundly shaped my approach to visual problem-solving and infused my artwork with a unique richness.
From navigating the rugged overland routes between Mexico City and Ushuaia to trekking active volcanoes and driving a campervan through the Australian outback to Uluru, these experiences have sharpened my ability to observe, adapt, and translate diverse environments into compelling visuals. Every journey has been a masterclass in seeing the world differently, allowing me to bring a fresh perspective to every project.
This deep well of experience means that when you hire Cheism, you're not just getting an illustrator; you're collaborating with a visual explorer who understands how to tell a story with depth and authenticity. Whether I'm designing a vibrant feature wall for a bustling café, capturing the ethereal beauty of hot air balloons over Cappadocia, or meticulously recreating cityscapes in my signature style, my work is always grounded in real-world inspiration and a commitment to evocative design.
Currently based in New Zealand, I'm passionate about crafting engaging illustrations that resonate. Let's work together to bring your vision to life with a unique blend of creativity and a global perspective.
